AI is the engine, not the brand
by Connor
Last quarter the studio rewrote its own marketing. The v1 site led with "AI-first web development." The v2 site does not say "AI" until you reach the About page. The reason is simple: nobody hires a contractor because they own a nail gun.
What you actually want from a website
You want a site that loads fast, ranks on Google, looks like it was made by a human who cares, and does not break the second you step away. AI helps us deliver all four — faster than two people could otherwise. But AI is not what we sell. We sell the outcome: visitors becoming customers.
The interns in the engine room
I run a small team of AI tools in the background — Claude Code for architecture and code, Perplexity for live research, sharp-image for AVIF/WebP optimization, Lighthouse for regression testing on every deploy. They are interns: capable, fast, and require human judgment. A human reads every page before it ships. That is the part the marketing should not hide.
